What is Tian Qi?

  • Tian Qi is a perennial herb from the Genus Panax family. The medical part comes from the rhizome.
  • Tian Qi is a horizontal spindle-shaped succulent root with short or long rhizomes.
  • Chinese people also call it San (Three三) Qi (Seven七) Seng (Ginseng參) because the plant itself has three branches with seven leaves each branch; others say it got the name because it takes three to seven years before it can be harvested.

  • Tian Qi is a suitable tonic for many aspects. It is good for blood circulation, especially after illness or after giving birth, and can restore health in a short time.

How do I prepare Tian Qi?

  • Tian Qi Roots: It can be made into powder or put the roots into soup; cook with chicken or pork ribs.
  • Tian Qi Powder: Take 2-3g twice a day with warm water and honey for better taste, in the morning and evening. This can help lower cholesterol.
  • Tian Qi Flower: You can cook it with meat or use the dried Tian Qi flowers as tea with hot water. Let the flowers sit in the hot water for 3-5 seconds before drinking.
