Established in 1978 by Patrick and Nancy Ng, Po Wing Hong Food Market first opened its doors as a small store on Hester Street, specializing in products from Hong Kong and China. Now located at 49 Elizabeth Street, our store has expanded to carry products from all over the world.

Over the years, we have become known not only for our low prices, but also for our values: quality, honesty, and education. We try to ensure that our customers receive only authentic, high quality products, especially with our selection of delicacies and health products. Also, with our vast experience, our customers trust that we will introduce them to products suitable for their needs. Our wholesale and distribution division, Po Wing Trading, is based in Brooklyn, New York. Po Wing Trading’s fleet of trucks and vans are able to provide goods to retailers and restaurants throughout the tri-state area. We have decades of experience trading both domestically and overseas with partners in the Caribbean, South America, Africa, and Europe.
